About
Built to be honest, not just convenient
The Paycheck Calculator exists because most take-home-pay tools online quietly guess. This one doesn't: federal income tax and FICA are computed from the actual 2026 IRS tax brackets and standard deduction, sourced directly from the IRS's own tax-year 2026 inflation-adjustment announcement. When a number can be verified against a primary source, it's labeled Exact. When it can't — most state income tax, which this tool doesn't model — it's labeled Estimated, never dressed up as fact.
Who built this
Aboagye Annor builds and maintains ByteTech247 Tools as an independent, solo project. It isn't a company, and it isn't a team of CPAs or financial advisors — it's one person's attempt to build the kind of calculator they'd actually want to use themselves.
That also means this site is not a financial institution, and nothing it calculates is professional tax or financial advice. For anything consequential — a big life decision, a dispute with an employer, an actual tax filing — verify the numbers with a CPA or the IRS directly.
How the numbers stay accurate
Federal figures are refreshed at the start of each tax year against the IRS's own published Revenue Procedure, not a third-party summary of it. If something looks wrong, that's worth reporting — see Contact.
What this isn't
- Not a signup — there's no account, no saved data, no email capture.
- Not a data collector — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that means.
- Not professional tax or financial advice.
Part of a growing family
ByteTech247 Tools is the first of a planned family of small, focused tools under the ByteTech247 name — each one built around a single job done honestly, rather than a bundle of everything at once.
